ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
What inspires me to pursue photography is the sense of purpose and freedom it provides. Ever since I was a kid, I have felt that my calling was to create something artistic. I used to draw my parents, favorite cartoons, and comic book superheroes with pencils or crayons. Later on, I was influenced by watching music videos on MTV Jams, Rap City, or 106th & Park, and I came to understand that art is a source of power and freedom.
My journey as a photographer began in late 2012, with little to no experience. I remember buying my first photography studio kit from Amazon, watching YouTube tutorial videos, and shooting with friends. From 2012 to 2015, I went through the hustle, frustration, good and bad of networking, and gave out many free shoots. If I had to do it again, I would in a heartbeat because it showed me what I was capable of becoming one of the best photographers in my area and how free I felt capturing images.
My portfolio showcases my versatility as a photographer. From vibrant and energetic fashion photography to ethereal and elegant weddings, my body of work displays my ability to adapt to various genres and capture the essence of each subject matter. Collaboration is a key aspect of my creative process. I value the connection and trust I build with my clients and subjects, ensuring that their vision aligns with my artistic sensibilities. With a calm and friendly demeanor, I create an environment that allows individuals to feel comfortable and authentic, resulting in photographs that reflect their true essence.
